Porch piracy and missed deliveries are everyday problems for online shoppers. When we started working on Akxis Hub, the challenges were clear:

• Parcels left on doorsteps are stolen or damaged, and lockers are expensive and limited.
• Local stores have spare space but no easy way to earn from it.
• Handing parcels over safely needs proof of check-in and secure, verified pickup.
• Store owners need clear earnings, payouts and tax documents, while the platform handles payments.
• Shoppers need to know where their parcel is and how long it has been held.

The core challenge for us was:

How do we turn everyday neighbourhood stores into a secure, paid parcel network that is simple for shoppers and profitable for stores?

We built Akxis Hub as a two-sided platform: shoppers get secure pickup near home, and stores earn from every parcel they hold.

1. Find a SafeHub Nearby

Shoppers start by finding a verified store close to them:

• Map and list views of nearby SafeHubs with ratings, hours and capacity
• A permanent personal delivery code to add to any online order
• Store details with photos and directions
• A public "Find a SafeHub" page on the website

2. Fast Parcel Check-In for Stores

Store staff can check a parcel in within seconds:

• Barcode scanning with on-device text recognition as a fallback
• Parcel size, storage box and check-in photos recorded
• Damaged parcels rejected with evidence
• Returns accepted and handed over to couriers with photo proof

3. Secure QR Pickup

Collecting a parcel is quick and safe:

• Instant notification when a parcel arrives
• A small pickup fee unlocks a signed, single-use QR pass
• Live holding timer with a free holding window
• Delegate pickup to someone else through a temporary link

4. Earnings & Payouts for Partners

Stores see exactly what they earn:

• Dashboards for earnings, foot traffic and weekly activity
• Payouts to bank accounts through Stripe Connect
• Commission and net earnings shown on every parcel
• Year-end tax documents generated automatically
